Mr. Kroll has been a professional biologist for thirty nine years and a consulting biologist for the last thirty five.  He has completed numerous environmental studies including over 40 lake quality assessments and improvement projects, several stream quality evaluations, more than a dozen environmental impact statements, forestry surveys, pond improvement projects and many wetland value and use evaluations.  His list of clients includes individuals, corporations, local governments, State agencies and Federal Government divisions.  Mr. Kroll holds two degrees, a BS in Biology (Aquatic Biology) from Central Michigan University and an Associate's Degree in Industrial Technology from Ferris State University.
Brian's work has been instrumental in accomplishing several lake improvement projects in Michigan.  In 1978-1979, he directed the Sanford Lake Weed Control Project.  This project won the Honorable Conceptor Award of 1981 presented by the Consulting Engineers Council of Michigan.  His innovative retrofit deep water discharge system for Lake Orion has been implemented and is not only helping preserve the water quality of that lake, but is also allowing a trout stream fishery where none existed before.
Mr. Kroll has authored several published scientific papers, holds a patent on an in-lake improvement process titled "Nutrient and Particle Removal:  Method and Apparatus for Treatment of Existing Lakes, Ponds, and Water Bodies", and has been a long time member of the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography and the Entomological Society of America.
In 1986, Mr. Kroll took on the Directorship of the newly formed Midland County Gypsy Moth Suppression Program.  This was not only the first fully implemented program of its type in the State, but it has also been one of the most successful.  Under Brian's direction, over 400,000 acres have received careful biological treatments to reduce gypsy moth destruction.  This function is now under contract to Aquatic Consulting Services LLC.
